VICTORY FLAME REACHED AT INDIAN COAST GUARD STATION, VIZHINJAM

To Commemorate the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the victory of 1971 war, the ‘Swarnim Vijay Mashaal’ (Victory Flame) arrived at Indian Coast Guard Station, Vizhinjam today (09 July).   NCC Naval Wing Commanding Officer Commander Manu Pratap Hooda handed over the flame to Asst. Commandant Nitin Jugran at Indian Coast Guard Station, Vizhinjam. 

A General Salute given by the Ceremonial Guard at the Station. Commandant Vargheese, Station Commander, Indian Coast Guard Station, Vizhinjam paid tribute to the war heroes of 1971 war by laying a wreath. Later on, the Victory Flame arrived at Kovalam Light House.  Illumination and firing of flares from Coast Guard ship C-427 was done as a tribute to the war heroes
