Three Startups from Kerala Won National Awards


Thiruvanathapuram: Three startups from Kerala won the first edition of National Startup Awards by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

NAVA Design & Innovation, Genrobotics Innovations and God’s Own Food Solutions are the three startups from kerala that won the awards in a virtual felicitation ceremony held in Delhi. Minister for Railways and Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal declared the results. 

NAVA Design & Innovation and Genrobotics Innovations were the projects incubated by the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM). When a solar-powered device for improving the efficiency of toddy extraction earned NAVA,   recognition and the award Genrobotics grabbed the attention for its product named Bandicoot, the world’s first robotic scavenger that cleans manholes.

God’s Own Food Solutions won the award for the patented green flour product named jackfruit365. The awards were in the 32 categories across 12 sectors including agriculture, education, enterprise technology, energy, finance, food, health and industry.
