Tejasvi Surya, the MP from Bengaluru South was appointed as the new national president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) by BJP chief, J P Nadda today.
Tejasvi Surya, a fiercy spokesman of BJP was born in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka as son of L.A. Suryanarayana and Rama and nephew of BJP leader L. A. Ravi Subramanya. Surya took his Bachelor of Academic Law and LLB from Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies. He was the founder of a NGO named Arise India that works in the area of school education. Surya was mentored by R. Ashoka and V. Somanna before entering into active politics.
Surya was an active member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and held the position of General Secretary of BJYM. He campaigned for BJP in 2014 general elections.
29 year old Tejasvi was an advocate by profession and before being the new face of BJYM, he won Lok Sabha election from Bengaluru South in 2019 by defeating Congress’ B K Hariprasad by over 3 lakh votes. The youngest BJP candidate who won to Lok Sabha in his first time candidacy itself, has become an inevitable part of Indian politics now.
