Superstar Rajinikanth has been ruling Kollywood for more than 40 years and in this career spanning decades and scoring numerous Blockbuster movies, the actor has also won various honors from the central and state governments.
Now it has been announced by the union Government that Rajnikanth will be conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke award 2020 for his contribution to art, and this was announced by union minister for information and broadcasting Prakash javadekar.
Prakash Javadekar tweeted “Happy to announce #Dadasaheb Phalke award for 2019 to one of the greatest actors in history of Indian cinema Rajnikant ji. His contribution as actor, producer and screenwriter has been iconic. I thank Jury @ashabhosle @SubhashGhai1 @Mohanlal @Shankar_Live #BiswajeetChatterjee”.
