Mumbai: Sudha Murty, the chairperson of Infosys Foundation is retiring on December 31, 2021, after a 25 year service. She is the founding Chairman of Infosys Foundation, a Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Infosys, the Indian multinational corporation giant.
She is the first woman engineer in India and one of India’s richest women with net worth of Rs 2,480 crore. Under her leadership, Infosys Foundation has made unparallel contributions to help the underprivileged members of society by focusing focus on education, healthcare, rural development, destitute care, art, culture, mid-day meal schemes and water projects.
“When the Foundation started, I was the mother and the Foundation was my child. Today, as I leave, I am satisfied to see that the Foundation has become a mother and I the child,” she said.
