Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively supports month-end closing as well as the internal and external reporting processes relating to tax and loan accounting for AVANAs family of companies.
  • Prepare loan and tax supporting information for the related disclosures in the Corporation’s Regulatory and SEC Reports.
  • Maintains the tax model schedule up to date to ensure conformity with GAAP.
  • Prepares daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reconciliations as assigned.
  • Monthly variance analysis review. Review account activity and transactions, and provide in-depth analysis as requested to ensure accuracy of GL, which will support accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Performs ad hoc GL analysis and reporting as necessary.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments throughout the monthly credit review process.
  • Supports the preparation and reviewing of Board Packages, SEC and Call Report schedules.
  • Assists in preparing reporting supporting documentation as requested.
  • Calculates capital account balances for investors, including management and performance fees.
  • Provides support for and helps coordinate annual audits.
  • Assists in the creation and implementation of new procedures/controls to improve performance and increase departmental efficiency.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities, as appropriate.
  • To perform any additional requirement, tasks and duties outside of his/her scope of work as deemed necessary by the Chief Financial Officer or the Management.
  • To ensure that the standards required by Law and by Management are maintained at all times in all areas of operations.

  • Must be Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant or ACCA.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with outstanding academic performance.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience as an accountant
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and stress management skills.
  • Skilled in using MS Excel and Word.
  • Can work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-national environment.
  • Thinks outside the box, problem solver and quick thinker.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data.
  • Exemplary communication skills in both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and stress management skills.
