Pakistan to request for Rs 20,000 crore loan from China

Pakistan is planning to request for Rs 20,000 crore loan from China for the construction of package-I of the Mainline-1 project of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to the reports, Pakistan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs is planning to formally send the Letter of Intent to China next week since Beijing is expected to freeze its financing plans for next year by November-end. ML-1 project is organized for the upgradation of a portion of the tracks on the Karachi-Peshawar Railway Line.
