MG Gloster SUV Price: MG Motor to launch Gloster SUV on September 24 |



NEW DELHI: MG Motor India will digitally launch the all-new Gloster SUV on Thursday.
Showcased the Auto Expo 2020, Gloster would be the company’s fourth product (and SUV). The Gloster is expected to be priced around Rs 32 lakh – 40 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Mahindra Alturas G4.
Among many firsts in the segment, MG Motor, a SAIC-backed company, has highlighted automatic emergency braking and autonomous level-1 driving of Gloster to be segment-defining features.
Automatic Emergency Braking works by stopping the vehicle in the event of a possible frontal collision below speeds of 40 kmph. When above speed of 40 kmph, the vehicle speed reduces by 40 kmph when Automatic Emergency Braking comes in to force
Adaptive Cruise Control, mostly seen in BMW and Volvo, is an active safety system that enhances safety by slowing down and maintaining a safe distance with the vehicle in front.
MG Gloster’s autonomous features include Front Collision Warning (FCW), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Auto Park Assist (APA) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).
Gloster is sold globally as Maxus LDV D90 and was introduced in 2017.
The SUV is also expected to feature a sun roof, touch screen with MG’s iSmart connectivity and middle-row captain seats. The product showcased at the Auto Expo revealed bold exteriors as the SUV stands near 5 metres in length.
