J&K: Former CM of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti calls the Centre’s decision to abrogate the special status of Jammu and Kashmir as “black decision taken on a black day.” The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president, Mufti who was under detention from August 5 last year following the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution was released on Tuesday.
She said in the audio clip posted on Tweet that her party’s struggle against Centre’s decision will continue. In a message to the people, Mufti said that the insult and humiliation faced was unforgettable and the Article 370 was repealed illegally in an anti-democratic manner. She also demanded the release of others who are still in detention.
Mehbooba, 60, was released as her daughter Iltija approached the Supreme Court last month against the continued detention of her mother under the stringent PSA.
