Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara district in Maharashtra is facing flood like situation as water level in river is rising NDRF has deployed 26team across coastal Maharashtra ahead of IMD prediction of heavy rainfall.
Water has subside in Chiplun,khed and mahad area. Rescue operation in underway in Taliye Village so far 37 bodies recovered from debris. 4 bodies recovered from Posare Khurd village landslide are in Ratnagiri.


In Kolhapur District Panchanga River is flowing above danger level.
In Satara District Kriahna and Karad river has reached its danger level.
In Sangli district Warna and Yerla rivers are also flowing at danger level.


People residing at the rever bank have been alerted and at various places they have been shifted to safe places.
NDRF is distributing food packets as part of relief operation in the aftermath of heavy rains that led to flood like situation in Maharashtra.
In addition to helicopters, the Indian Air force deployed one C-17 and two C-130Js plane for airlifting 170 personnel and 21T load of NDRF from Bhubaneswar.
Meanwhile Following yesterday’s suspension of services due to incessant rains, train services have now been restored on the Konkan Railway route.
