Kerala Law Academy organised International Conference on “Right to Health and Impact of Covid-19 on Indian Health Care System”

Kerala Law Academy Law College in association with the Centre for Advanced Legal Studies and Research (CALSAR) conducted a One Day International Conference on Right to Health and Impact of Covid-19 on Indian Health Care System, virtually on 19th June 2021 at Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram under the guidance of Adv. Nagaraj Narayanan, Director and Prof. Hareendran K. Principal.

The Conference focused on understanding the different aspects of challenges faced by the Indian healthcare system and devise the possible measures to overcome the effect of COVID-19 pandemic in India. It analyses the short term and possible long term impact of this pandemic on not only the health care system but also altering the socio-economic capabilities of the Nation.

Ms. Salona Lutchman ( Senior lecturer, Department of Public Law at the University of Cape Town ) gave the inaugural address highlighting the ‘Impact of Covid-19 on Rights of Children’, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha ( Director Indian Law institution, Delhi) was the keynote speaker. Prof Dr. Bismi Gopala krishnan, Syndicate member and Dean , School of Indian Legal Thought, MG Univeristy , kottayam delivered the Special Address. The Valedictory address was delivered by eminent guests Prof Dr. Sandeepa Bhat B. Director, NUJS, West Bengal and Dr. P.R. Rajavenkatesan , HOD , VIT school of law.
