Historically used as currency and awards, raisins are dried grapes with an ample number of benefits. It can reduce the risk of heart disease by maintaining blood pressure and blood sugar. The fiber in raisins lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol, which reduces strain on the heart.

It is also a good source of potassium and treats ailments like food poisoning. Raisins are full of nutrients and can make for a great snack option. Although it does not have the water content of regular grapes which makes them less filling than whole fruit and it becomes easy to munch on. Sticking to small portions would work wonders as it would not add much calories to your diet.
