Australia: As a part of restrictions for controlling the growing covid-19 outbreak in the city, dancing, singing and chanting were banned across Sydney. On Sunday new 30 covid-19 cases where reported in the new outbreak of the pandemic in Sydney, Australia’s most populous state of New South Wales.
The public gathering is limited with household gatherings include 10 participants and hospitality venues include 300 with other pandemic restrictions.
With the 70 new cases a quarter of a million people were already put into a strict lockdown until Christmas Eve in the Northern Beaches cluster. Now the state has announced bans on dancing, singing and chanting at indoor venues across the city except at small weddings and religious services.
State health minister Brad Hazzard said, “It is the season when we all love to be singing. But for the moment, it is probably one of the most dangerous exercises you can do, dancing and singing.”
