The Berlin International Film Festival has been postponed due to coronavirus pandemic and splits into two parts. The organisers of the Berlin the National Film Festival which is conducted annually has announced that the festival will be conducted in 2021.
The film festival was planned to conduct in February in Berlin but the spread of covid-19 and the second wave after pandemic around the world had forced the organisers to change the decision. There is restrictions for the large gathering related to any festival the film festival is decided to conduct as two parts.
The first part will be conducted as a virtual Berlinale which will be held online in March. Then the organizers are scheduling a summer event with numerous film screenings for the public in theaters and the open air in June. The organisation of the film festival as two parts will help both film market and festival said the organizers.
