Bangladeshi boy won International Children’s Peace Prize 2020

Sadat Rahman, a 17-year old boy from Narail, Bangladesh has won the International Children’s Peace Prize 2020. He was awarded the prize for setting up a social organisation and mobile app “Cyber Teens” to stop cyberbullying and violence against children.

The award is given every year to a child involved in promotion of children’s rights and protecting vulnerable children by Netherlands-based KidsRights Foundation.The award was presented by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai in an event held in the Hague, the Netherlands. The expert committee has selected Sadat as the winner from 142 applicants of 42 countries.
