After Seven Months, Film Theatres Reopened

New Delhi: After seven-month blackout, film theatres in several parts of the country reopened today as the number of covid cases are decreasing.

Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana are some of the states where cinema halls have reopened. Only fifty percent occupancy is allowed in the cinema halls. The viewers are compulsorily asked to give phone numbers for “contact tracing”.

The safety guidelines also include social distancing, thermal screening and adequate protection measures for the staff. All the food items will be sterilized under UV rays before providing to the audience.

Theatres and multiplexes of states like Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Chhattisgarh and the northeastern states have not opened as the states have not issued any guidelines.
