NCB issued summons to actors Deepika Padukone, Sara ali khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet singh in a drug case related to the death of sushant singh rajput. Actors o be questioning based on WhatsApp chats from 2017 involving drugs. These chats were found on the mobile phone of talent agent Jaya Saha, who has been questioned in an escalating drugs probe linked to the Sushant Singh Rajput death investigations.
Jaya Saha was a former talent manager of Sushant Singh Rajput, a 34-year-old actor who was found dead at his Mumbai apartment on June 14. She was among the many questioned after WhatsApp messages retrieved from the phone of Sushant Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty revealed conversations on procuring drugs.
While Padukone has been summoned on September 25, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan have been asked to appear before the NCB on September 26,said officials. NCB visited Shraddha Kapoor’s house on Wednesday evening to serve the summons.
Earlier on Wednesday, the agency recorded the statement of film producer Madhu Mantena in connection with the case. Mantena was the co-producer of 2016 Bollywood film ‘Udta Punjab’ which dealt with the issue of drug menace.
